Donation

During breast cancer awareness month, I displayed this artwork to be raffled off at the restaurant. All proceeds of the raffle ticket sales were donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of Charlotte, NC. With this art, I raised $280. I am content with the raffle sales but I was hoping that it would be a little bite more. But other than that, it was really fun displaying another artwork and talk to my customers about it.

I kinda slacked off on the frame and built it on the last day. For what it is, it actually came out pretty nice. Thought I would need at least 2 days to construct a frame. But this time, I bought an existing frame and I chopped it up to the size I want and reconstruct it. So it's semi-homemade :-D

Shutting down my website so I'm transferring some of the stuff over. I'll just use my blog as my website from now on. Easier to update.

Sleeping

Did a quick painting. Acrylic on watercolor paper. Still trying to figure out my choice of medium. I really enjoy using paper as my medium because I tend to thin my acrylic a lot. Almost to a water consistency and paper absorbs it fast and not worrying about pushing the paint around. But overall, I still prefer canvas or panels the best. I just gotta figure out how to make my canvas/panel to absorb my acrylic like the paper does.

Finished

So I finished this piece since last week...not too long after the "process" post I put up. Just never got a chance to upload the final piece. But, it's finished now! I call it, "Blow Your Mind Away", 18x24" acrylic and collage on wood panel.

Recent

New painting done recently. I had this cardboard laying around the room and I thought it looked somewhat like a cross. So I drew something quite the opposite.
